Description of Services

Catskills Agrarian Alliance offers technical assistance and education for farmers interested in farming with the West Branch Commons (WBC), an equitable land access project currently in development. WBC will offer alternative and affordable land access opportunities for QTBIPOC farmers and producers, who face land access barriers particularly as it relates to the cost prohibitive nature of land. Structured as a 501(c)3 Community Land Trust, WBC offers farmland through an affordable and equitable 99-year ground lease offering the security of land ownership.

Description of Agriculture-Related Experience

Through our nonprofit, we have operated an organic regenerative diversified vegetable farm since 2015, with farmers who span decades of experience in our region. Additionally, another program that we operate through the nonprofit is 607 CSA, a multi-farm CSA that comprises of 40+ partner farms and producers in our region and serves more than 350 CSA members annually.
