Description of Services
I have approximately 50 years of experience in appraising all types of rural and farm properties found in New York State. I have received two appraisal professional designations - MAI - Member of the Appraisal Institute that specializes in valuing all types of income-producing properties including agricultural, commercial, industrial, residential, recreational, and forest land and improved properties; and ARA - Accredited Rural Appraiser with the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers which specializes in all types of rural and agricultural land and properties. I have completed assignments for over two dozen State and Federal agencies, as well as owners, attorneys, assessors, brokers, and other persons and entities having the need for property valuation. My specialties include completing appraisals for buy/sell purposes, bankruptcy, divorce, financing, conservation easements, certiorari/tax appeal, eminent domain (e.g. new roads or road widening, pipelines and powerlines), estate planning, Indian land claims, and any other reason the value of a tract of land or an improved property is needed to be calculated. I have provided expert witness testimony for county, state and federal courts.

Additional Information
I grew up on a family dairy farm in Upstate New York which gave me the initial background and developed my interest in all types of farming and agricultural and that includes conservation and protection of natural resources. I continued this track with obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree at Cornell University with a major in natural resources and minor in physical sciences. I have aligned myself with professional agricultural and rural property organizations and individuals in New York as well as throughout the United States.
