Description of Services

Glynwood's Farmer Training team supports several programs designed to assist new farmers, including the Hudson Valley Apprenticeship and the Hudson Valley Farm Business Incubator, and serve as a Regional Navigator in the Farmland for a New Generation NY program. The Hudson Valley Apprenticeship provides hands-on practicum and in-field mentoring supported by classroom curriculum, workshops, farm visits, and Mid-Hudson CRAFT (Collaborative Regional Alliance for Farmer Training) participation.

The Hudson Valley Farm Business Incubator enhances the economic and social viability of Hudson Valley farms in their first five years of operation, we provide business planning and technical assistance to new farm enterprises.

Many of our Farmer Training Workshops are open for general registration for regional farmers.

Glynwood promotes regional farmland access via Farmland for a New Generation New York in partnership with American          Farmland Trust. Regional Navigators in this program provide technical assistance with farmland access for both farmland seekers and non-farming landowners.

Glynwood offers Farmer Training services at no cost to program participants, and to general registrants depending on the availability of funds.

Language Accessibility

Glynwood offers its programming in English. We have a strong working relationship with the Hudson Valley Language Justice Collection, who assist us with Spanish-language simultaneous interpretation and translation services.
We host some bi-lingual trainings and workshops with simultaneous interpretation, depending on the availability of funds.
